Molas are the colorful, richly decorated folk artworks made by the Kuna Indian women who live on the San Blas Islands near Panama. Many layers of cloth are stitched together by hand. Their images depict animals, nature, and everyday life. We will create our own Mola inspired holiday stockings using heavy felt as the base, and brightly colored felt and construction paper throughout. Wear old clothes, we may get messy!
Class will be cancelled if at least 5 students are not registered by the cutoff date listed above.
