This class is for all skill levels. You’ll create a scene with trees using tissue paper and paint, learning techniques that will add interesting texture and depth. The movement of the tissue paper will dictate some of the direction and shapes. Reference photos will also be provided. Bring your imagination!
TOOLS & SUPPLIES: Acrylic paints - Any kind (craft paint is okay); A dark (black if fine), white, ultramarine blue, burnt umber, yellow ocher, a brighter yellow, a red, and any greens—If you don’t have some of these colors, we can mix what you need; Acrylic (matte or gloss) Medium (Floetrol will also work); 12”x12” Canvas or Board - Alternate sizes: Nothing smaller than 8”x10” or bigger than 11”x14”; 3” Sponge Roller Brush (Hobby Lobby sells them 2 in a pack) or 3” Sponge Brush; Any other Brushes you paint with (Liner to 2” flat—whatever you have; Paper Towels; Water Container; Plastic Bag for trash; Disposable Plastic Tablecloth (get one at Dollar Tree)
The instructor will provide tissue paper and palette plates.
