September Art Exhibits- Brad Johnson’s Photography

Gallery 92 West is proud to host Omaha photographer, Brad Johnson’s first solo exhibit in the Tracy Gallery in September. The Artist’s Reception has been rescheduled for TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, from 5-7p.m. Brad is generously donating ALL proceeds from his gallery sales this month toward our West Building Renovation project. Thanks, Brad!

Nearly 50 years ago, (48 to be exact!), Brad Johnson’s love of photography began with a Hawkeye Instamatic camera he started using at the age of 15. He was immediately interested in photography, and began taking photos for the newspaper and yearbook at Bellevue High school.   Before earning his Business Administration degree at University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1985, he studied photography at Metro Community College and was especially interested in film and print processing in the darkroom.

He later spent over a decade as a Professional Wedding, Portrait, Event, and Sports Photographer including traveling throughout the Midwest photographing gymnastics meets.

Brad is now primarily a landscape photographer, taking pictures of land, sky, and whatever else he may come across in his adventures around Nebraska and Iowa.

Brad was born at Offutt Air Force Base and settled in Nebraska with his family after living in Boston and Japan throughout the majority of his early school years.  He now resides in Omaha with his wife, Terese.  He enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his three grown children and two (soon to be 3!) grandchildren.

The Hinds Gallery will feature a selection of work from the FAAA Permanent Collection.
